Cheryl Tao was born in Shanghai, China. She graduated from Washington University in St. Louis, School of Law in May 2014 with a J.D. degree. She also studied law for her undergraduate in Shanghai, China. She is currently working as an in-house counsel.
The reason she joined OCA is to continue supporting Asian American community, especially to help new immigrants who are struggling with language obstacles and culture differences. She’s been living in the United States for less than four years. Based on her own personal experience, she knows how hard life can be as a first generation immigrant. Cheryl is a native Mandarin speaker and she’s also fluent in English. In her free time, she enjoys cooking, traveling and playing badminton.
