V.P. of Membership
As a long-time advocate of education and community volunteerism, Lee presently serves as a board member for OCA. In this capacity, she works with the OCA leadership to promote the fields of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math (STEM) through community outreach programs, education, team building/morale activities and volunteerism.
Aside from this role, Lee currently works as an Education Outreach Specialist at the Center of Plant & Life Sciences with St. Louis Community College in the Bio-Research Development & Growth (BRDG) Park. Served as a mathematics instructor for a local high school, she is also the founder and team lead of Biotech Navigators, a student outreach and mentoring program designed to encourage students to pursue STEM careers in biotechnology and agriculture. As a passionate communicator, she is an active mentor in various STEM programs such as Technovation Challenge and Lego Robotics. She will use her passion, skills and experiences to contribute to the OCA mission by leveraging STEM opportunities to inspire and empower youths and adults.
Lee graduated from Webster University with a Bachelor’s of Science in Mathematics and Bachelors of Arts in Management, minoring in Computer Science. In 2016, she completed her Certificate of Specialization in Biotechnology from St. Louis Community College. Her diverse experiences include management, data analysis, education and research. She has been invited to speak on panels on Agriculture and STEM educations, and has received numerous awards and recognition for leadership and outstanding service. With OCA National, Lee was selected as the recipient of the 2018 Unsung Hero Award presented by Buick.
Lee enjoys spending time with family, cooking explorations, and connecting people. She speaks Laos, Thai and French.
